L2 Making Center Tool Checkout

We are open primarily for contactless pick-up/returns*
We will not be able to accommodate any “walk-in” requests at this time.

*Upon approval of your request, a designated area will be assigned as a pick-up location.

Please note that orientations will not be offered in the Fall 2020 Semester. Students who were oriented in the past will retain access.

To request equipment please follow these steps:

1. Visit reservation.newschool.edu to select and request equipment. Reservations must be made 48 hours in advance of coming to campus. Keep an eye on your email for the reservation request approval.
   
2. Pick up your equipment. Pick up times and locations will be sent with your reservation approval. These pick-ups and drop-offs can be made from 12pm–5pm on weekdays.
3. Students MUST fill out the daily MHealth symptom-self screening (find the personal link sent to each student via email), and bring your New School ID with you on the day of your reservation.

The L2 Making Center Tool Checkout is a tool loan center that provides tool access to Parsons students within the 2 West 13th Street building, located on the second floor. Tools provided by the L2 Tool Checkout must be used following all New School safety protocols and facility policies.

Students are responsible for the condition and care of all tools including accessories that are associated with them. At the time of rental, students should check the condition of all tools checked out. It is the responsibility of the student to inform the staff of any problems or concerns with the tool.

Available equipment includes: Hand Tools, Power Tools, Cutting Tools, Measuring Tools, Marking Tools, Computer Accessories, Home Sewing Machines, Clamps, etc.
