White, black, and fuchsia were the colors that dominated on Sunday morning in September 8th. The collection of Victoria Beckham left me speechless, with a palette that made the collection exquisite and classy. No wonder she’s always been a style icon; as a fashion designer her work consistently reflects her creativity and excellent taste.
I had the opportunity to work with an agency called Eyesight who was in charge of the production of the show, and also had the opportunity to help Victoria’s team with some tasks. The show was perfectly planned, and the models did a great job on the runway. The feedback was excellent, and I was delighted by all what I saw.
The collection was beautiful– in addition to her muted primary color choices, she also made some accents with red wine and grey. Triangles were featured in several pieces, making the outfit very appealing and geometrical to the eye. One fabric that stood out in the collection was organza, making the paneled shirts very feminine and seductive. Beckham also used ruffles in the dresses and skirts, and the silhouettes were relaxed. The most important item of the show was the trouser, which she always set up to be short and hit above or just below the knee. After the show she said, “I always want to push the fashion message, but it’s always got to be me, what I want to wear”. And as a follower of her, I can tell that this collection reflects her exquisite personal style.
