Future of Footwear Awards, Masterclass Competition

URGENT:  DEADLINE EXTENDED THROUGH MAY 30, 2013

PENSOLE Footwear Design Academy*, in partnership with FNPLATFORM and Zappos.com, is launching the FUTURE of FOOTWEAR Awards, a master class and competition created to discover, develop and reward aspiring footwear designers worldwide.

PENSOLE will provide scholarships (workshop only) for two Parsons students. (Transportation and accommodations in Portland, Oregon not included.) 

Entrants are required to submit original shoe designs, hand-sketched and rendered in black and white or colored markers.   

To enter:

1.     Pick from the categories below, (you may enter in multiple categories but can submit only one design in each).

2.     Upload as jpegs, label each image with your name/category/phone number (JohnDoe_DressMen_718_555_5555), attach in an email and send to D’Wayne Edwards at dwayne@pensole.com.

3.     Subject line: Parsons Entry – Future of Footwear Awards & Workshop.

4.     Include the following information in your email:  Full Name,  Email address, Phone number, School/department at Parsons (recent graduates are welcome to enter).

There are 5 different competition areas:

1. Athletic—Footwear designed to help perform a sport or activity better
2. Dress—Footwear designed to wear at formal events
3. Kids—Footwear designed for kids of all ages
4. Made in USA—Footwear designed for manufacture in the USA
5. Sustainable—Footwear designed with recyclable materials and more efficient manufacturing processes
