Student wins Windgate Fellowship

Madeleine Provost, has won a coveted spot as one of the 2013 Windgate Fellows.  The Center for Craft, Creativity and Design hosted the selection panel this year.  The selection process presents a rare opportunity to survey the best and brightest emerging makers in the field of craft. Windgate is honored to continue the important legacy of this program – one that gives 10 emerging artists both the validation and financial resources to pursue their dreams.

Madeleine, a BFA Fashion Design Senior, talks about her work:

“My craft is rooted in the art of clothing the body. I would use the Windgate Fellowship funds to enroll in a textile residency program to further explore artisanal handwork and couture techniques as they relate to sustainable design.”  -Madeleine Provost
