Parsons celebrates Scholars Program

Parsons and Bloomingdale’s partnered up to support the Parsons Scholars Program, #bthenext with a celebration in the Bloomingdale’s NYC flagship store, the last week in April.  The event brought together notable alumni from Parsons, and 5 Parsons Scholars, to showcase their work. Directly off Bloomie’s 4th floor escalators, were the beautiful and uniquely designed garments by each of the students.

We showcased Yelaine Rodgriguez, Class of 2012;  Thi Wan, Class of 2013;  Genesis Pena, Class of 2014; Brihanna Blake, Class of 2015 and Elizabeth Peralta, Class of 2016.

The Parsons Scholars program is a free, comprehensive, and sequential college-prep program that gives motivated New York City public high school students from diverse backgrounds, access to all that Parsons has to offer. The Scholars enroll from grades 10-12.

Thank you for an incredible amount of press coverage, to support this initiative.  Marie Claire did a particularly nice interview with three Parsons alumni, Narciso Rodriguez, Tracy Reese, and Parke Lutter and Ronen Jehezkel of Parke & Ronen. Read their article here.
