PAFM 1500- Fashion Merchandising: Italy

This 3-credit site-line course affords matriculated degree candidates the opportunity to apply skills learned in their academic program in New York to a real world context and to familiarize them specifically with the fashion industry in Italy. Students will travel to select cities in Italy for two weeks to visit important fashion companies, artisans, museums, textile mills, and attend an industry trade show. Students learn how to navigate the Italian market for raw materials, apparel suppliers, and fashion trends. This is a three-credit course and requires the approval of course coordinator: James Mendolia mendolij@newschool.edu

The payment deadlines are upon us, if interested, you should consider all of all of the fees carefully. Please keep in mind that airfare, 3-credit tuition fee to New School, and personal expenses are not included.

Estimated costs:
1. 3-credit tuition, fees payable to Parsons/New School
2. $2650 payable to SAI, includes lodging, inland travel by bus, museums, visits
3. students are responsible to secure their own round-trip airfare
4. personal expenses, meals
