The fashion film made by MFA Design and Society student Aina Hussain along with research and illustrations have been selected to be exhibited as part of the exhibit called: ‘ÖÖ: was it a dream?’, during the London Design Festival in September 2011. ÖÖ, or ‘night’ in Estonian, is a pop-up gallery and concept store showing work by young avant-garde creatives from Nordic countries including Denmark, Estonia, Finland, Iceland, Norway and Sweden. It is a collaborative project by a community of fashion and product designers, photographers, filmmakers, artists and illustrators, whose work draws on the dark and surreal aspects of Nordic aesthetics. Aina’s film will also be shown during the PÖFF Tallinn Black Nights Film Festival in November and the exhibition tour will continue and end in NYC next year.
