Urban Zen took the “Naturally Haiti” collection wholesale this past week at the Coterie Show at the Javitz. It was a culmination of many years of Donna Karan’s work in Haiti, and the one year anniversary of the DOT – Design, Organization and Training, that Parsons built in collaboration with Urban Zen. Parsons graduates Margo Isadora and Amanda Evengaard worked with Hatian artisans and at DOT this summer with Hatian designer Paula Coles, under the creative direction of Donna Karan to develop the new collection. The reception of our story in Haiti, and the accessory and home products we’ve created was very positive.
