Mad Men's Costume Designer, Janie Bryant, Speaks to the Styling Club

The Styling Club and SOF Design and Marketing students are invited to attend as Janie shares her costume design experience, expertise, and current projects. Seating is limited, first come first served.

“Mad Men” has started a new chapter in Bryant’s career. She has received national and international praise for her work on the series and has even caught the attention of many fashion designers who have designed collections inspired by the fashions from the show. Bryant was nominated again for a primetime Emmy® for her work on “Mad Men” in 2009, 2010 and 2011. On January 20th 2011, the Costume Designers Guild honored her again with her 3rd consecutive nomination for “Outstanding Costume Design for Television Series – Period/Fantasy,” for her work on “Mad Men”, which she had won in both 2009 and 2010. Bryant was honored with the Edith Head Award at Fashion Group International’s Night of Stars in October 2010. Bryant was also honored at the 2011 New York Women in Film and Television Designing Women Gala in May 2011. Other honors for Bryant include being listed as a fashion icon in “ELLEments of Personal Style: 25 Modern Fashion Icons on How to Dress, Shop and Live” (Gotham 2010), and was included in the 2010 Vanity Fair 100 most influential people worldwide of the year.
