David Orr on Climate Change and Education – 2013 Kalil Lecture

 

Colleagues, students and friends:
David Orr the 2013 Michael Kalil Fellow, will be giving a major public lecture on climate change and the role of education, Thursday March 7th in Tishman Auditorium – 66 W 12th Street, at 6:00pm. David Orr is one of the leading environmental activists, writers and thinkers in the world, and an advocate for the critical role of design as pedagogy.  He is the author of seminal books on environmental literacy and environmental justice, and was the force behind the building of the Adam Joseph Lewis Center for Environmental Studies at Oberlin College, designed by William McDonough + Partners.  The winners of the 2013 Kalil Grants will be announced as well.
