Countdown to Private: Giancarlo Giammetti Challenge

We’re inaugurating our new Conversation Series with the legendary Giancarlo Giammetti, who will visit the School of Fashion on Thursday, November 7^th at 6pm in the 560 Auditorium.

Dean Simon Collins with lead a Q&A with Mr. Giammetti to discuss his new book, Private: Giancarlo Giammetti, a revealing portrait of his life with Valentino and the social lives they led.

SCHOOL OF FASHION COMPETITION JUDGED BY GIANCARLO GIAMMETTI

Starting today, enter our competition for a chance to win a copy of Private. Winners will also be invited to meet Mr. Giammetti for a toast or tea with Dean Collins after the event.

Every Parsons student is invited to participate in this competition.

WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR:

1. DUE MONDAY 11/4: Be like Andy Warhol or Banksy: Create a portrait of Mr. Giammetti and Valentino and share it with us!
2. DUE TUESDAY 11/5: Inspire us! Channel your inner Valentino and drape or draw your vision.
3. DUE WEDNESDAY 11/6: If you could ask one question of Mr. Giammetti, what would it be? Simon Collins will ask the winning question during the Q&A.

All entries due by 6pm the day of

RULES:

1. You can only submit one entry to one category.
2. You have until the morning of Thursday, November 7 to submit.
3. Your email MUST use VALENTINO PRIVATE as the subject of your email.
4. Please include your N number in your email.

BEFORE THE EVENT: VALENTINO: THE LAST EMPEROR

The event will begin at 5:30, but we will be screening his film Valentino: The Last Emperor, a documentary about his partner Valentino, at 4pm. Free pizza will be served.
