While the fashion industry is rapidly changing, Fashion Marketing faculty member Stanley Levine decided to capture what he knows and loves in his second fiction novel, False Faces.
The story of False Faces follows a young designer, with limited talent, who uses her sexual prowess and manipulative skills to run for Designer of the Year. She marries men for money. She latches onto men she believes she can use. Master storyteller Levine, weaves a tale of designers, celebrities and their silent partners in an intimate setting, set in the fashion capital of New York City.
Stanley’s career spans from beginnings at Saks Fifth Avenue, and took him on a quick rise up to CEO of Jerry Silverman, Inc. He has worked with well-known designers such as Pauline Trigere, Carolina Herrera and Naeem Khan. Levine’s wicked sense of humour is exposed in this novel, capturing the true essence of Seventh Avenue’s super rich and powerful.
