Welcome to Research and Pedagogy

Welcome to our new section on the The Parsons School of Fashion 560 Blog, Research and Pedagogy.

This section aims to support and build faculty’s engagement with scholarly research and pedagogy practice through a variety of methods.  Every two weeks, new articles will be posted.  They will include a wide range of such topics, such as: effective grant writing techniques, presenting at upcoming conferences, submitting papers to scholarly journals, notable books for strengthening one’s teaching practice, articles about Education, interviews with notable design researchers and educators, and so much more.

In addition to these diverse topics, faculty’s research will be featured so that others may gain new knowledge in the field;  featured articles, papers, and other forms of dissemination will allow viewers to learn further about research, scholarship, creative practice, and pedagogy occurring within our very own School walls.

The Research and Pedagogy section of 560 will be beneficial no matter what amount of experience you have in developing research and scholarship, or how many years you have been an educator.

To share your research projects, provide ideas for future articles, and give suggestions for the Pedagogy and Research section, please contact Steven Faerm, Editor of Research and Pedagogy, for details.
