Exhibition 05/10/2013 – 05/24/2013 12:00 p.m. – 6:00 p.m.
The School of Design Strategies (SDS) is an experimental educational environment in which students develop innovative approaches to design, business, and education. In a context of constantly evolving cities, services, and ecosystems, SDS explores design as both a tool and a strategy for devising environmentally conscious practices for use by individuals, communities, and organizations.
The works featured in this exhibition present strategy in action. How can we use design thinking to promote change, to foster creativity, to envision the new urban? How can design be employed to improve or reimagine established systems, from fashion to health care to housing? In light of the diverse challenges facing modern societies, how can we use all of our abilities to effect change? The School of Design Strategies confronts questions like these through rigorous research and application. This exhibition presents outcomes of these practices.
Opening reception: Friday, May 10, 5:00–7:00 p.m
