David Thonis - Technician, Wood/Metal
David Thonis is a New York based artist and designer. He is a graduate of the Rhode Island School of Design and is currently at work navigating the line between art object and consumer product. Recent years have been spent shifting between disciplines, pursuing an MFA, developing a studio practice, and teaching in various fields. David’s work is often critical of contemporary design practices, speaking a visual language of “design,” while simultaneously calling upon its inconsistencies.
