An elective course in apparel and accessory design was made available this year to juniors, and selected School of Fashion students from this class were lucky enough to have their eyewear designs manufactured by Luxottica (and previously were also awarded cash prizes for their design teams).

The winning prototypes were displayed at Ilori (138 Spring St.) on May 6 for a silent auction event to benefit OneSight, an organization that works to provide vision care to those in need around the globe.

In a well-attended event, Professors Marie Genevieve Cyr and Adam Sternbach of Parsons gave remarks of congratulations to the students and hopes to continue a very fruitful partnership with Luxottica.  Every pair of glasses were sold in the silent auction, and all proceeds went to OneSight.

Congratulations to our students on their winning designs, and on raising money for global vision care!
