The Innovation Center is located on the 6th Floor of the D Building at 6 East 16th Street. A space designed for collaborative development and presentation, the Innovation Center provides a multitude of classrooms, displays, printers and rentable equipment for students of all years and majors to use. The space is also equipped with community lockers for general use, as well as flexible furniture design, so one can rearrange their space to the needs of their projects or collaboration.
Located on the 6th floor are eighteen Mac workstations for quick internet access and use, although use of these are on a first come first serve basis. If you wish to work on your personal laptop, the center features not only three wireless scanners to connect to, but also two printers (one B&W, one color) that you can wireless print from, as well as connect to using the previously mentioned Mac workstations if you choose. For Photography majors, there is a specifically designed room for photographic printing, complete with weekly printer maintenance and precise calibrated monitors to match photo output. For presentation purposes, there is a conference room available for booking by faculty members, as well as multiple flexible classrooms and huddle displays that, using AirMedia technology, is enabled for easy display sharing and great for critiques and class project reviews. To book the Faculty Conference Room, see the Services Tab on your MyNewSchool page.
Along with the above, there are 40 Mac Laptops available for checkout for up to four hours at a time from room 606.
