Introducing the new Professor in Fashionable Technology

Parsons, School of Fashion would like to welcome Sabine Seymour as a full time faculty member as of January 2010. Sabine focuses on fashionable technology and the intertwining of aesthetics and function in design and technology. Having introduced the course ‘Fashionable Technology’ at Parsons The New School for Design in New York in 2001, she is now the Director of the newly formed Fashionable Technology Lab. The Lab is a joint effort between the School of Fashion and the School of Art, Media, and Technology at Parsons The New School for Design.

She received a PhD and MSc in Social and Economic Sciences from the University of Economics in Vienna and Columbia University’s MBA program in New York and an MPS in Interactive Telecommunications from NYU’S Tisch School of the Arts in New York.
