Call for Entries: Intelligent Materials Workshop

We would like to invite students to two workshops focusing on intelligent materials and computational fashion.

Parsons, New York, February 25 – 26, 2012, 9AM – 6PM

The call for participation for the workshop at Parsons ends on February 13, 2012. Please submit a biography, links to your portfolio, and a description of your skills to seymours@newschool.edu. The workshop is limited to 20 students.

The workshop at Parsons starts with a demonstration of materials and sensors by EnsAD. Students will then create concepts and through prototyping will end with a functioning prototype. The materials for prototyping will range from Arduino to thermochromic ink. The theme of the workshop: Scarf 2.0.

EnsAD, Paris from June 4 – 8, 2012

The 2-day workshop is led by Elisabeth de Senneville, Martin de Bie, and Martin Le Tiec from EnsAD and Sabine Seymour and Scott Peterman from Parsons.

If you want to come to Paris the workshop at Parsons in February is required. All information to participate in Paris will be answered during the workshop. Information of previous workshops are at ft.parsons.edu/ensad. Participation is limited to 10 students.

Students are required to bring their own laptops, sketching paper, pencils/markers.
