What brought you to Parsons?
My mom is a graduate of Parsons and I found out about Parsons’ Pre-College classes in middle school. I took about 10 of the courses through high school, and the experience then encouraged me to further my education at Parsons.

What special courses are you taking?
Some of my favorite classes I’ve taken so far have been textiles and hand knitting. The techniques I learned in those two courses will specifically benefit me through the remainder of school.

Why do you think you were selected as Parsons School of Fashion Student of the Month?
I always participate in class, and I help to make other students feel comfortable in doing the same. I put in my best effort in all aspects of my courses, homework, class work, and projects.

If you could offer one piece of advice to an incoming student, what would that be?
Be prepared to work harder than you ever have, but also be prepared to love every minute of it.

What is your Instagram handle?

How would you describe your experience so far as a Parsons student?
So far my experience has been very challenging and has pushed me as a student. With what I have accomplished so far, I am motivated to work harder for the next two years.

What is one of the most important things you have learned/experienced at Parsons?
Expand your thinking and don’t always go with your first idea.

What keeps you motivated when there is too much workload?
The work never stops, so it is important to remember that the effort you put into it will be worth it in the end.
