The Fashion Colloquia is made up of a core network of four universities (London College of Fashion, Domus Academy, Institut Français de la Mode and Parsons The New School For Design) connected by their geographies and involvement in the four big ‘fashion cities’ of Paris, London, Milan, and New York.

The New York session of The Fashion Colloquium hosted by Parsons The New School for Design will close this inaugural series in February 2013. Attendance at the Parsons Colloquium will be free of charge, but we ask that you register your attendance via Parsonscolloquium@newschool.edu in order for us to prepare catering in advance. Morning and afternoon tea along with lunch will be provided on both days for registered attendees.

2. Digital technologies and their impact on fashion
What impacts are fast-developing technologies having on design processes, fashion communication, and fashion systems? How does the next generation create, co-create and consume fashion as a result of these technologies?

3. The globalization and internationalization of fashion
How is fashion from emerging fashion capitals around the world impacting on the established ‘fashion capitals’? What new discourses are emerging around cultural appreciation and appropriation?
